the blood sweat and tears that brought us to this exodus

a living prayer in motion, givin’ life to what will end in dust

gotta have heard those lies, and said “no”
the voice of hate, the voice of ego, the voice of doubt
the rotten bouquet of emotions that they bring about
the off key feelings in the silence singin’ out

cars crash and leave catastrophe behind eyelids
synapse collapse and break the bridges to where mind is
and folks sleep without dreamin’,
speak without communicatin’ , touch without feelin’

it’s in darkness, with the hopelessness surroundin’
and findin’ a light inside and knowin’ it is boundless

The crash. The blur. The pain. The wreckage.
Needs hope. Needs love. Needs effort and Perspective.
The loss. Confusion. The hopelessness. Delusion.
Needs you and me. To fight for the conclusion.
The dark needs light. The hate needs love.
Needs strength. Belief. Commitment and us.
