It’s like a nightmare
You experience awake
The flash
In a breath
Hit the gas
Not the breaks
Fleeting consideration
What could be lost?
What’s at stake?
What was the pattern of your choices
In the end, what did they make?
It’s a remixed mosaic in the sky, in your place
In your mind, in your eye, inside
In your face
The fluttering fragments so close so far a way
Silver strings tied to heart and snappin’ from the weight
Our reaction in fractions is fractal on display
Collapsin’ in captions
Our lives in disarray
When a source of amor transforms or dissipates
Like the loss of a limb or goin’ numb from the pain
And we live through that accident
In the wreckage, in a way
And all that drifts listlessly, rippling in its wake
It’s bein’ in the car, in the casket, at the wake
Operating table, waiting room, “Will it take?”

The words spill, world fills
chasm of sarchasm
Walkin’ with a phantasm
light fantastic
Chapstick ruggedness with lip balm
Do what I do with a smile ‘n’ keep the shit calm
On the light rail – tron like trails
Memories blaze in the dark
like the emptiest caves
so full of movement the static smiles
in the messiest ways
in the heaviest waves
ride upon the current runnin’ rampant miles
caught in the undertow the saddest sound
cuz it hasn’t found the the vastest cloud
just bubblin’ ‘n’ burnin’ in a caskets shroud
but rebirth is real so search to heal
all things end and begin it’s the surest deal
who knows what order
so find the finest goddess ‘n’ court ‘er
prepare to wait because there’s no short order
they all tall to fill
all dreams get killed
and live with will
to give until…
who knows but you’ll go before though
the only thing that can be sure so
understand that it’s all a blur
light in the dark it can all occur
they think that they smart but it’s all absurd
it’s all just dust in a fallen world
I’m just sayin’ displayin’ what I came in
A shell that dries up of no worth to try to take with
But work it while I got it tryin’ to stir the pot we caught in
The heat is on we can’t be on some auto pilot
It gets deep _ we in it with some scuba
Get through crevice we can not with common sutras
There is thoughts we can’t express with blasé mantras
so much we haven’t thought of, all parlayin’ like a pollop
Livin’ like a lazy tryin’ to find the daily potluck
Consumin’ all they products at the simplest we all awestruck
Awe shucks, proud vessels of some tadpoles
And some eggs tryin’ to meet and build some little castles
They tryna holler in black hole
And want the youth up on the chorus singin’ let’s go
But hell no you gotta tell hell no
Screamin’ heaven yes til nothin’s left to let go
And there isn’t any music just a tempo
Don’t second guess it if you felt it then It said so
It doesn’t matter if it’s random or a grand design
It’s still a grand design and you can ask it why
but you gotta know it can’t reply But in your passions eyes
whatever life is, it’s only passin’ by

Jim Morrison, seein’ through the doors
Livin’ in the moment, that’s what truth is for
Time keeps slippin’ seein’ to the core
Wrestle with ideas, about the struggle like a luchador
Y si sigue listen to what see dice
I breathe deeply and speak it just to relieve the triste
Or dig into it and come out on the other side
Misery of darkness see the light of day and run and hide
it’s too foreign, too strange and alien
they’d rather stick with what they know and feel the pain again
comfortable confusion hidin’ from the light of day
in a hide a way around the corner just a smile away
from getting’ frightened and runnin’ the mind is miles away
don’t wanna make decisions goin’ with what simon say
knock on the window leave an invite for another day
Plantin’ seeds for future tree that you can climb and come away
Why stay inside tryin’ focus on the bad and the pain?
I’m writin’ lines that be capturin’ the light of the day
I’ve lived a thousand lives tryin’ to lead to the light of the way
And that could change but it isn’t gonna happen today
That trees reachin’ to the seeds splittin’
Pushin’ for the future, that’s what see’s spittin’
It’s been told and been rewritten
Optimistic to the point that they like “he’s kiddin’”
I’m the alchemist chillin’ like “Maktub”
still practical enough to tell the babies “achtung”
Realist --- half full/half empty
This is what we got either way – can’t test me
Can’t tempt me with the arguments that land gently
Full of deceit that’s misleading and deadly
Yo… It’s the poison of the consciousness
It turns words to white noise and silences
Listen to the quiet mind and what silence says
Unless it isn’t you and that voice condescends
This isn’t common sense don’t be mad if you don’t know it
Just open up and to know the ledge and go for it
Trichknowledge on the prowl tryin’ to keep you down
All around propaganda can be found here and now
Make your worst enemy their own worst enemy
That’s us; get out your head and turn the tendencies

Hey baby, damn
I just wanted to call and say I heard about what happened
And, fuck, I’m so sorry
I just want to be there with you, um
Wow, that’s really scary
I know I can’t promise that it’s gonna be ok
But, I want you to know that I believe you have what it takes to get through this
And I’ll be there with you
I know you might feel right now like everyone’s just out to get you
Or like the future’s just a blank dead end
But that’s not really how it is
That’s just the way big trauma makes you feel
So, I know that you’re strong, that we’re strong
And that you have the power to get through this
And whenever you’re ready, I’m here

Somethin’ you feel like it’s tangible
We keeps it real like an animal
And when you feel like you’ve had it though
Get open like jaws of life but from my mandible
On the rise like the foam of a licuado
Sage grow from my steps wherever I go
Follow trails to the primetime show
Get in on the jam Shangri-La on dope
Cowards in the wings talk shit like iago
But envelopes are poppin’ open hopin’ for survival
for the brown folks Ain’t got the time for
all the nonsense of the wrong hardcore
the hard headed got the talkin’ points on store
ain’t talkin’ to a wall, I’m walkin’ over like some parkour
from the Cities to Chicago And beyond those
trot the globe with awesome quotes to keep you on toes
POC’s and the whites with the right hopes
You talkin’ PC you walkin’ on a tight rope
You wanna talk it over check us on tour
Until then study and meditate what the song’s for
Somethin’ you can feel like it’s tactile
Chillin’ in theater of your mind in the back aisle
Like a white owl with a cracked smile
Above the plans of mice and men we’re takin’ flight now
bump this at your home office, iphone or cubicle
somethin' you can feel from your heart to your cuticles
There's something for everyone, I've studied perspective
open circuits on, find the fuse and connect it.
Somethin’ you feel like it’s tangible
We keeps it real like an animal
And when you feel like you’ve had it though
Get open like jaws of life but from my mandible
SEE MORE PERSPECTIVE on some other stuff
writin' at the rest stop, waitin' on the mother bus
hitch hikin' through the galaxy
connectin' constellations, tryin' to find my lost family
My flow wrangles, wrestles those hateful
ain't slow-in' down, comin’ up like old faithful
young at heart gettin' older/ wiser
keep the funk on lock, like deodorizer
when I'm flowin' others be holdin' covers and blowin’ cover
when I flip the script on ‘em like the coen brothers
rhymes on the mind for the songs that we'll sway with
puttin' flavor on your playlist
cue us up, cuz gonna get the vibe on
tell a story paint a picture like some krylon
keep the rhymes comin', cuz it keeps the mind runnin'
I keep it cookin' like a pizza pie oven
if you 9-5 numbin' or without a job dumbin'
I got somethin' you can have never have for dime a dozen
cuz we be the fly, cousin- til we reach the sky above 'n'
this is inspiration meant for you to keep the high buzzin'
SEE MORE PERSPECTIVE on some other shit
writin' at the rest stop, waitin' on the mother ship
to come and take me away
but makin' most of my time and never waistin' a day

I talk a little shit, but man I love people
Every single one of ‘em, none of ‘em have an equal
So no matter what they do, or how they try and treat you
Everyone’s a Buddha with a shell you have to see through
And sometimes it’s hard cuz even Buddha played out fantasies
Of dastardly bastard deeds - Ain’t no one claimin’ tragedies
Manageries of shattered dreams, shattered so dramatically
It’s sad to see human beings lacking in humanity
Losin’ hold of strategies, incapable of managing
The overwhelming scrambling of what we once were channeling
Turning to the travesty renaming it reality
While leaving out the majesty when painting their analyses
Tapestries of tangled webs can be weaved to add in peace
We gotta focus on the malady to ban it’s happening
But not to be in enameling the hazarding
Onto a canopy of what the can it be why can’t we see
Cuz also gallantry is galloping and battling
The demons that are challenging our standing when the balance spins
And when we’re clambering for family you have it grin
So grab it kid, there ain’t no way we’ll let the madness win
I talk a little shit, but man I love people
Every single one of ‘em, none of ‘em have an equal
So no matter what they do, or how they try and treat you
Everyone’s a Buddha with a shell you have to see through
I ’ve done my share of embarrassing things
Been cold, rude, livin’ in some terrible dream
Like the one where you shoutin’ but can’t hear when you scream
Or the one where you’re runnin’ only draggin’ your limbs
Yeah, like that but a real life scenario in
My past, I gotta live with it when memory stings
And no matter how justified it seems that the arrogance is
I’ll look back and every moment that I dared to be a dick
In the last I’ll be haunted (and) you’ll be there in the mix
Barin’ witness to endless spring we barely sipped
Carelessly flipped book pages that should nary be missed
instead we merrily picked nits from the threads of care and the bliss
And I’m not sayin’ we shouldn’t pick out the eggs of the lice
just that we should take more care with this egg of this life
cuz at the end of the night, we’ll be mendin’ insight
reflected in edges of eyes ‘n’ wish we tended to light
I talk a little shit, but man I love people
Every single one of ‘em, none of ‘em have an equal
So no matter what they do, or how they try and treat you
Everyone’s a Buddha with a shell you have to see through

Eyes flutter, fannin’ the flames
Words sputter like a can of mace
Sprayed in the direction of her saddest day
How she sees a resemblance, I can’t explain
So sad, so angry
Sour from a flavor in her past too tangy
Intense in the present tense, incensed
Mindset’s been upset since
Her dreams weren’t reflected in your eyes
Said that she could dream big; bigger than the sky
But your smile betrayed your disguise
She can see what you think and hear the lies
She knows the judgment and expectations
Condescendence and degradation
Even of the kindest degree
Everything you teach is in a college degree
She isn’t dumb, she’s hurt
She isn’t rude, she’s curt
She had a plan but it’s long been passin’
She got attitude, tan, and an accent
Hasn’t said a word, but hasn’t been absent
This math got ‘er trippin’ like it’s absinthe
Breathin’ out
The teacher’s tryna push ‘er so she scream and shout
She’s tryna find a way to ease it out
But it isn’t so easy now
She’s tryna find a way to ease it out
But it isn’t so easy now
There’s a fire in your eyes, and it’s easy to ignite
You put it in the farthest part of your mind
There’s a fire in your eyes, and it’s easy to ignite
You put it in the farthest part of your mind
I wish that I could say she had found meditation
Or found a better way of endin’ all her statements
Or mad a map to navigate the devastation
Arrivin’ at the end to the perfect destination
Truth is, she’s getting by
Feelin’ fly when getting high
More than we can say for a lot of folks
You wanna make a wheel turn, it takes a lot of spokes
Is that the best we can teach ‘em?
“Find a job, be a cog” won’t reach ‘em
It’s survival of the fittest wallet
Bored in glass, just sittin’ galkin’
Sick of your shit, extended talkin’
Still no cash and still exhausted
You wanna see it? Got give a bit of passion
Rethink your answers and question what you’re askin’
Inquire, perspire, inspire
You want out of the ditch? You gotta spin them tires
Rock that boat to the back and forth
‘til you get a little grip, than attack with force
When the time’s right, give it gas and go
We teachin’ ya to teach, tryna pass and go
It can’t keep lastin’ though
and ya can’t keep passin’ through
There’s a fire in your eyes, and it’s easy to ignite
You put it in the farthest part of your mind
There’s a fire in your eyes, and it’s easy to ignite
You put it in the farthest part of your mind

I see it, look
If I muster up enough of what it takes to survive
I can’t make out a place in my mind, full of life
It’s pain in a way, where the rainbow thrives
Every hue can make a home, where they like
You can kiss who you want, roam freely at night
Police don’t exist, we enact equal rights
Europeans finally free themselves of thinkin’ they white
And fear isn’t enough to end Black lives
We move different, with intercultural overstandin’
We have different ways of bein’
and we share the same planet
It’s not a utopia, but it’s somethin’ that we can manage
If we love a little harder and all throw a hand in
Like that

This is your life, make it mean somethin’
Breeze by the obscene scene’s and the mean muggin’
These nothin’s and the nobody’s need substance
But don’t know it and be little like they be above it
Be creative let the vowels in your cheeks be brushes
Speak on it if you believe it don’t heed hushes
These suckas be beneathe it decomposing in some deep slushes
In a never ending winter and can’t see success
They need some rest, to ease and bless
I speak to rep meaningful steps for each ‘til death
And seek to quest to be the best at eagle’s crest
Unequaled raps no need to guess
But just livin’ my life too
Breathin’ to experience the supercool times 2
Hundred however do you want it
However do you need it you gotta think upon it
You cannot see what you can’t conceive
You cannot perceive it if you can’t believe it
…GET OPEN - in the wreckage it can get hopeless
reach out open your eyes and step
I know what it’s like, too apallled to fight
See More Speakin’ from the Jaws of Life
To get open
In the wreckage it can get hopeless
Reach out, openb your eyes and step forward
I see you – grindin’ like a mortar and pestle
Shoulderin’ tension and growin’ against it
Knowin’ it test you, mold and then best you
But you don’t give in, you go in and wrestle
You never foldin’ you a nobler vessel
Say a word hold to it like notebook and pencil
Global attention for your local intentions
Work a little job just to pay for the day to day
a place to stay as you make your way
I get it – I see the daily pressures but you can’t let it
Get to you into you the role you play is integral
Feelin’ invisible, indivisible from other individuals
Workin’ til they cynical but still pushin’ the agenda through
You need to take a breath before you break yourself
This is life, every second makes yourself
And the next…next…next…
I hope you’re ready for the next great test
Tomorrow and the rest of your life
Make it what you want it you can’t settle for gripes
Though nothing really matters cuz it’s all energy
You’ll always be worth your own weight in memory
So remember to breath and remember to SEE
And I’ll always have your back no matter what the temperatures be
Just remember to breath and remember the SEE
Your friend indefinitely whatever temperatures be

Deep in meditation, bars swirlin’ from the source
Mental elevation, mind hurdling a course
Up and over obstacles and swervin’ like a Porsche
Suddenly I wake – there’s a disturbance in the force
The phones rings, somethin’ in my zone stings
I pick it up, said she was there and saw the whole thing
Slow down, what’s goin’ down? Oh wow
No I’ll be right over in a short while
Put on my kicks, a couple weapons in the backpack
Tighten laces, hoodie up over the snap back
Check my pockets feel some stickers – didn’t hand ‘em out
Shake my head as I grab a pen and I’m out
Through the door down the hall and the staircase
Halfway down the door opens at a snail’s pace
I stay in place, stare and wait hear the snare and bass
Leakin’ from the headphones – lyrics ‘bout dispare and waste
I dive down both fists through the arch way
Stand to face a beast the likes of which you’d see in arcades
Subzero with a radio rap swag
A blank expression and skinny jeans that sag
He said, “ignorance-“ I said, “I know who sent you”
“but you don’t know who else we got that’s gonna test you
he opened his mouth and cold soul filled the room
I dropped a sacred verse jumped through the window with a boom
I dusted off and made my way through the wreckage
I heard a voice say, “we spotted more perspective”
Then a gunshot and the steps of dumb plots
They followed clumsily, I took ‘em out with one thought
to the roof top lept across town
Paid a visit to my friend to see what’s goin’ down
Buzzed up only heard back from heavy breath
That’s when I saw the sign and received an empty text
Threw my phone as it lit up like the fourth of july
That’s when I knew that the next foe was lies
This fool thought he’d disarmed my music
But little did he know that I was now fused to it
Drenched in shadow whisperin’ attacks
flashes of the first foe that listened to the wack
I spit poison tipped quotes from a couple of books
Lies couldn’t speak he froze and couldn’t look
There was sadness here, he sensed the hood was fertile
Until I laid a couple pages from my journal
Nothing like a self affirmation to belittle ‘em
Weak and debilitated, became so little then
He looked up, winked and flitted to the wind
I flicked a pen with ink that split his brittle wig
sensed him in the air now and every bit as big
sound waves I got for that so didn’t trip
next up was selfishness, he said, “we got hip hop”
we shared light like a fast game of zip zop
without the zap - got ‘em - knew that he was fallen
all I had to do was sacrifice my life to stall ‘em
I took a step to let ‘em know that I was all in
He knew that it was over didn’t even bother crawlin’
his last effort offered radio and love from blogs
I spoke with clarity of rhymes from up above the smog
He shook his head and said, “yo SEE, you never change”
I said, “The truth is you don’t, really you never can
So bring ‘em out, let ‘em free before I do this”
He made a gesture to his minions like a nuisance
They brought a body bag, size of the youth
My heart dropped, but I didn’t feel the truth
They opened up the bag and said you’ll find him tip top
I saw a radio and laughed, “this isn’t hip hop!”
I laughed loud, and had a thought before I bounced
Reached into my pockets and grabbed stack of stickers out
They burned with light, ground shook from the presence
I lept into the sky left behind those perspectives

We are the wayworders
Busting shots from our think tanks
Bursting at the dreams from the inspiration intake
Boiling over and we'll fill you to the brim
With sum'n fresh to illuminate the dim
We are too fresh to be too subtle
Never settle for the muddle We the rebels in the rubble
Yes we mettle in the trouble for the betterment of all of us
Bring together separate stories like an omnibus
Reinvent curricula aint sipped what they pourin
They can drink it til they drunk and we'll be soarin' while they snorin'
Supposed rap gods got nothin' to say
I spit because the people need some substance TODAY
I'm Hercules, the way I effortlessly hurt emcees
With the silver tongue and esophagus of mercury
Quicksilver spittle make it crystal ball clear
The future is now and everyone we need is all here
All clear make it happen do dem big thangs
Lookin sexy in a meeting with dem big brains
Every time we make it, we makin it like the Big Bang
Idea incubators harbingers of big change
We are the wayworders
Busting shots from our think tanks
Bursting at the dreams from the inspiration intake
Boiling over and we'll fill you to the brim
With sum'n fresh to illuminate the dim
Mind patterns are dark caverns throwing in glow sticks
Connect the sum of our thoughts (now that's) intelligent quotient
And that's more like it to me
what's the use of a mountain if we ain't climbing the peaks
What's the use of perspective if we ain't tryin to see
Gettin' no where with the same old, let us try on unique
Magnificent approaches to the challenges that poach the
Imagination's motives of a maximumum whole us
Knowin' us, it's ourselves tryin' to hold up
The rest of us with the fears that we blow out
Of proportion that's cloggin' the heart - no doubt
The moment you stop believing is the moment that you sold out
So what if the old garde holds out
We'll keep marching growin numbers of a bold crowd
And we need you in our ranks but we can make do
And can teach you why we build but we can't make you
We are the wayworders
Busting shots from our think tanks
Bursting at the dreams from the inspiration intake
Boiling over and we'll fill you to the brim
With sum'n fresh to illuminate the dim
Wayworders. unafraid to say the words that rearrange
The way we think about the ways that things can change
Wayworders. willful and disobedient
The rebels with a cause to see the playing field and even it
Wayworders. off the beaten path to salvage
Ideas of how and where we go from madness
Wayworders. thinking forward, there is no box
We have a way with words and fill them full of thoughts
They call us odd, those that lack imagination
Trapped within the stagnance of a wack contamination
Under exact examination I've found in fact a fascination
For just how they dilute themselves with grandest admiration
For their immovable resolve which is the vastest vacillation
perhaps the saturation of the ego fills the gaps that have their places
They're vacant and they're gaping and at last we grasp this nation
Ego fills the gaps of the vacant now we grasp the nation
Wayward: Turning away from what is right and proper
Willful, disobedient, turning or changing irregularly

If ya nod your head then you got to get
The messages and lyrics that be poppin’ shit
Over b-b-beats that make you bounce with it
That give you inspiration, not the opposite
From the outset be mindful of the content
If you disagree then you gotta flip the offswitch
If you ‘bout some progress, listen to the prospects
Challenges and process details that I obsess
Like it was my job just bringin’ you the bomb shit
Blowin’ in your conscience, enlighten all its contents
Rappers talk a loud mess, but they ain’t about shit
On the mic they’re grouches
On the stage they slouches
Livin’ life on couches
Suckin’ more than louses
Too many mics for emcees that are countless
Heads up, chin low with the downbeat
Shake your head left to right when a clown speaks
Nod your head if your vibe’s in agreement
Keep it noddin’ if you’re with it and you feel it
Nod your head but don’t be complacent
And if you don’t like it don’t move and don’t say shit
Nod your head if your vibe’s in agreement
Keep it noddin’ if you’re with it and you feel it
Nod your head but don’t be complacent
And if you don’t like it don’t move and don’t say shhh
I spit slicker than a Pro Tool, avidly
Actually see more perspective like a gallery
Dramatically tell and weave a story like a tapestry
Emphatically reveal and represent ancestry
Whether Aztec or Incan or Mayan
Whether slavin’ or buildin’ or minin’
We got a history in need of redefinin’
We got a lineage in need of realignment
I represent the intellectual artist hooligan
Rap wrath on tracks to crack what the truth is in
This the new true school birth of cool again
Skew views of the box that the schools is in
If your head’s noddin’ you should know you can feel good about it
Rappers tryna trick with the beats under the rhymes thay shoutin’
“What’d they do See? What’d they bug you about?’
Huh? The main problem was they opened their mouth
Nod your head if your vibe’s in agreement
Keep it noddin’ if you’re with it and you feel it
Nod your head but don’t be complacent
And if you don’t like it don’t move and don’t say shit

Reading/writing signs
Shiftin’ trying to find
What’s been left behind
On a tectonic grind
Readin’/writing signs, shiftin’ trying to find
What’s been left behind, on a tectonic grind/
Reading/writing signs
On a tectonic grind
I had the strangest dream last night
I was in a small wodden room with my father and my brother
And it had bare floor boards and bare wooden walls
no furniture
And in one wall, there was a red door
Outside you could hear the crashing of the ocean
When I opened the door
I felt the wind on my face
Then I stepped to the threshold
And outside the door, was
“It’s just a dream See”
Not when wakin’ from a dream, see
Wake from the experience still graspin’ on what we seek
Dream speaks but its muffled under water
A rumble from the dark like the god of thunder’s father
A colossus in the deep in the consciousness of sleep
Awkward with the weakness without confident belief
Have the confidence to leap from the continental shelf
A look into the eyes of your monumental self
It’s hypnotic, opposite the slip knotted
So deep on the daily, my grind is tectonic
It’s the puzzle of the gods
Shuffled and bizarre
Everything under the stars
Massive connections
Galactic impressions
Fades as I gaze a fantastic reflection
As I wake in the wake of dream state, stay seekin’
Painstakingly awake in the gape of day dreamin’
Reading/writing signs
Shiftin’ trying to find
What’s been left behind
On a tectonic grind
Readin’/writing signs, shiftin’ trying to find
What’s been left behind, on a tectonic grind/
Reading/writing signs
On a tectonic grind
Rise from the rubble, eyes crusted, rock crumbles
Fist of the north star awakes in the bubbles
Awakes in desolation, waits in hesitation
A similar scene, but a different destination
Different origin
Swimmin’ with a dorsal fin
Pisces of the universe
Scene at the core again, Pangea
Broken fam with amnesia
Gether pieces in the deep but can’t see ‘em
Can’t bring ‘em to the surface
It’s the braille of subconscious
Fingertips on brain wrinkles in the darkness
Only five percent’s been explored
Heart and mind the same, they’ve been ignored
Oceans and our dreams, heart and soul
Having hidden conversations, trying to crack the code
Trying to crack the mold and let the truth leak out
Dive in with ear goggles let our dreams speak out
Reading/writing signs
Shiftin’ trying to find
What’s been left behind
On a tectonic grind
Readin’/writing signs, shiftin’ trying to find
What’s been left behind, on a tectonic grind/
Reading/writing signs
On a tectonic grind
It’s just dream, See
See, it’s just a dream
It’s just dream, See
See, it’s just a dream
It’s just dream, See
See, it’s just a dream
It’s just dream, See
See, it’s just a dream
I watched as a huge wave as big as the house
Dark blue and covered with veins of white foam
Crashed on to the rocks
I stood and I watched those waves

Take my hand, take a stand, take a step
Take your time, take a breath
Take a second assess the mental detritus
Brush it off and try to leave it where the wreckage is
been through the mud, the gauntlet and the excrement
the blood sweat and tears that brought us to this exodus
bring it with our movement, in every breath that exit us
a living prayer in motion, givin’ life to what will end in dust
but first, ya gotta let go
gotta have heard those lies, and said “no”
the voice of hate, the voice of ego, the voice of doubt
the rotten bouquet of emotions that they bring about
the off key feelings in the silence singin’ out
and that’s the gift you offer when it’s all you think about
cars crash and leave catastrophe behind eyelids
synapse collapse and break the bridges to where mind is
and folks sleep without dreamin’,
speak without communicatin’ , touch without feelin’
see without the insight that keeps our motors revvin’
bein’ alive is more than bein’ right, it’s more than heaven
it’s in darkness, with the hopelessness surroundin’
and findin’ a light inside and knowin’ it is boundless
it’s not a flinch in the face of your ugliest form
it’s making the reasons for highest self to perform
When the dream fades and you feel you’ve woken up
When your overwhelmed and your hope has broken up
When the last of your protectors has spoken up
That’s when it’s time for jaws of life to open up
The crash. The blur. The pain. The wreckage.
Needs hope. Needs love. Needs effort and Perspective.
The loss. Confusion. The hopelessness. Delusion.
Needs you and me. To fight for the conclusion.
The dark needs light. The hate needs love.
Needs strength. Belief. Commitment and us.

Can I take a moment, a minute, a sec
To say what I’d say if this was my last breath?
The feeling of the images before this a wreck
When everything slows down at first impact
So while we’re all here and everyone is intact
Allow me to be as honest as I would be in death
Now, just to start, I think you’re all a bunch of idiots
Whithout the slightest notion of what your beauty really is
Meandering minutiae
Hell, we all really did
Wandering the moelhills
Makin’ Odysseys of Iliads
Tryna act grown when we’re all a bunch of little kids
Swelling with some self-importance over simple silliness
Or was that more me? Allow me to apologize
Don’t keep a score please
We ain’t on a tally, ain’t before a judge
From this point of view there couldn’t be more of
The type of pain at every transgression
That swells from the heart and teaches us a lesson
And the messes of selfishness? There couldn’t be less of
The pointed questions lessenin’ our brethren in the sludge
Diminishin’ our sistren, demeanin’ our connection
Debasin’ greater family, breakin’ down the fractions
Tune out the static of the mellow dramatic
There’s more to see than tinted-glass/monochromatic
There’s more to this life, there’s more in our death
And there’s somethin’ like magic in all of our heads
In all of our dreams, and in all of our chests
A treasure unseen til the final of breaths
And at the end of the line
We see the sublime
And mundane align
As well as the lines
Of lives intertwined
Ahead and behind
Of what we saw as divine
Now bear with me, I move at different paces
Visit different places, inhabit different spaces
Keep it to the left, keep it tight like braces
Pull tricks out of sleave, I pullin’ out the aces
Pull self out the ego, and the sufferin’
Stay in self awareness cuz it serves a function
Imagine laghin’ at a joke or arguin’ about nothin’
When the unseen hand grabs the purest substance
Time turns to jello that wobbles and slides
In the middle’s a drain that swallows our lives
We round slow spiral towards a sinkhole
We see the moments pass, we don’t even blink though
And at the end of the line
We see the sublime
And mundane align
As well as the lines
Of lives intertwined
Ahead and behind
Of what we saw as divine
Inanimate rhythms outta time over shouts
The silence within is the chaos without
The immovable motion and unstoppable stillness
The sickest of cures and the healthiest illness
It’s all here, but no shred of evidence
Only experience with somethin’ just ahead of it
An impulse, a notion, some de ja vu
An inkling, a goosebump at foreheads view
Swollen in motion in moments that’s bloated
Floating in gorgeous sensations that’s imploded
The color orange just under the skin
The space between atoms
The color of grin
The color knowin’, the color of solace
The color of healing, the color of promise
The feelings that color the space inside
The color of space you feel when you die

After several years in the making and a series of intimate listening parties, the fourth full length studio album from SEE MORE PERSPECTIVE is ready to enter the world. ‘Jaws of Life After Death’, in collaboration with beat-maker Serebellum One now known as Khid Genius), is like an audio sculpture, with layers of production from an impressive, unexpected team of musicians. Serebellum provides the bedrock of beats and sampling for See More’s vivid, intricate, and at times otherworldly storytelling. Jason Peterson DeLaire, disciple of the Minneapolis Sound pioneered by Prince, contributes galaxies of synths. Classically trained songstress Katherine Parent offers waves of haunting, ethereal vocals. Finally, mr. Demntd lays down surgical cuts of turntablism. To top it all off, Tish Jones lends a poignant poem on 'All Will Be Free'.
‘Jaws of Life After Death’ is wrapped in the metaphor of a car wreck and begins with a song written while See More’s father was in the hospital after suddenly losing his ability to walk. Through the lens of the ensuing wreckage, the album empathetically pans across the crises of our personal, social, and political lives: The fleeting thoughts that pass as everything smashes around us in slow motion, the weight of the aftermath, and the push for healing and liberation.
Full of sounds that range from apocalyptic bangers to playful basement party vibes to the inevitable late night rooftop philosophical conversations that follow, ‘Jaws of Life After Death’ is a psychedelic fever dream that calls the listener back into the body; inviting us to stay in the proverbial fight. Because in the end, it’s an out-of-body, life-after-death call for hope. The type of hope that spits out blood and kicks open the jammed door of survival.
This isn’t an album that will tell you everything’s gonna be ok. In fact, it transparently acknowledges that so many things will not; but also that there are some things we still have the power to change, while offering a bit of fuel for the journey ahead.
